Heather asked me for some pictures to decorate a nursery for a baby boy to be born. Some options considered were to have the picture mounted on a canvas, decoupaged, and to hang it. I mounted one in cardboard and even with cardboard being straight and smooth, more than canvas (which is sort of like fabric and has some texture), the decoupaged makes this type of crackly paper get some bubbles, and if I smooth those, I get wrinkles.
What to do then? It cannot require expensive materials, for I do not like the end product to be very pricey either. And I like to work with book pages, mod podge, cardboard, glue, and ribbon, that is all, that's the make up of Book Complicity.
And the backs which blogger flips and there is nothing I can do about it.
So far I need to show Heather, if we try something different for her neighbor, I will sell them, if she keeps them, I will make other sets. They were so much fun!
I forgot to mention these come from Babar's Mystery, by Laurent de Brunhoff. What a gorgeous name, don't you agree?
